David Jobes, professor, psychology, spoke on a panel for the Department of Defense Taskforce on the Prevention of Suicide by Members of the Armed Forces on Tuesday, August 24. C-SPAN aired the news conference live. From: C-SPAN Date: Aug. 24, 2010 A Department of Defense (DoD) task force announced the findings and recommendations on the results of a year-long study to prevent suicides by members of the Armed Forces. Established by order of Congress, the DoD Task Force on the Prevention of Suicide by Members of the Armed Forces is charged with studying the issue of suicide in the U.S. military across all branches of service.
