The John Carroll Society of the Archdiocese of Washington held its 21st annual Rose Mass on Sunday, March 18, celebrating those in health care professions at the Church of the Little Flower in Bethesda, Md.Cardinal Donald Wuerl, University chancellor and archbishop of Washington, served as the main celebrant. The homily was delivered by Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Ind. Provost James Brennan served as a lector. Monsignor Peter Vaghi, University trustee and chaplain of the Carroll Society, was also present.During the Mass a delegation of 20 students, faculty, and alumni from Catholic University's School of Nursing was recognized. A reception was held after the Mass for the group.At the reception, Cardinal Wuerl and Monsignor Vaghi greeted the group and took time to pose for photos.
