Catholic University's School of Architecture and Planning presents its spring lecture series on trends in contemporary Spanish architecture. Speakers in the series will discuss how their work reflects these trends. They include:

  • Feb. 13, 6:30 p.m.: Antón García-Abril Ruiz, professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology School of Architecture and Planning and principal of the Ensamble Studio in Madrid. Note: This lecture will be held at the National Building Museum, 401 F St., N.W., Washington, D.C. Admission is $12 for members of the museum, free for students with valid student ID, and $20 for non-members. Prepaid registration is required, and walk-in registration will be based on availability.   • March 13, 6 p.m.: Carme Pinós, principal of Estudio Carme Pinós in Barcelona.
  • April 10, 6 p.m.: Alberto Morell Sixto, professor at the Superior Technical School of Architecture of Madrid (ETSAM) and principal of Estudio Alberto Morell, Madrid.

The final two lectures will be held at The Catholic University of America in the Edward M. Crough Center for Architectural Studies, Koubek Auditorium. They are free and open to the public.
