This conference is one of the principal commemorations of the 50th anniversary of Pacem in Terris in the United States. The conference will examine the ways in which Pacem in Terris (Peace on Earth) is a living document that remains fresh today.

Leading scholars, policymakers, and practitioners will discuss topics such as human rights and development, nuclear agenda, reconciliation, the environment and peace, theology of peacebuilding, and more.

The conference begins April 9 with Mass and will include several speeches by key scholars and policymakers, alternated with 12 break-out sessions on conference topics, before concluding in the late afternoon on April 10.
