The Catholic University of America is included in the 2015 edition of The Newman Guide to Choosing a Catholic College, a resource published by The Cardinal Newman Society recommending 27 Catholic colleges, universities, and higher education programs for their strong Catholic identity.

The Newman Guide says of CUA:

Across the spectrum, CUA is on the move. Most importantly, the "bishops' university" has confidently embraced a well-rounded Catholic approach to higher education. It is exciting that Catholic families today, many who are not seeking a liberal arts college, have the option of an authentically Catholic, comprehensive university located in our nation's capital.

First published in 2007, The Newman Guide recommends 20 U.S. Catholic colleges and universities and seven international and online programs for their faithful Catholic identity. The guide provides in-depth narratives exploring the uniqueness of each institution, questions and answers with the colleges, financial and career development information, and much more. The free online version at TheNewmanGuide.com includes all the content from the book plus more than 400 pages of additional information, videos, social media links, photographs, news, and more.

Founded in 1993, The Cardinal Newman Society is dedicated to promoting and defending faithful Catholic education. For more information, visit CardinalNewmanSociety.org .
