Catholic University's two soccer teams won Landmark Conference championships on Saturday, Nov. 8.

Entering Saturday's games, both teams were the No. 1 seeds in the conference tournaments.

In the first game of a soccer doubleheader, the women's team beat the University of Scranton 1-0 . This is the second Landmark Conference championship for Catholic University in women's soccer. The Cardinals are waiting to find out who they will face in the upcoming NCAA tournament.

In the day's second game, the men's team beat the Merchant Marine Academy in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 tie at the end of regulation and overtime. This is the third Landmark Conference championship for Catholic University in men's soccer. The team is also waiting to learn who their opponent will be in the NCAA tournament.

Although the CUA field hockey team lost Saturday to Juniata College in the Landmark Conference title game, the team's strong record earned them a spot in the NCAA tournament . On Saturday, Nov. 15, the Cardinals will take on the winner of Wednesday's game between Messiah College and Kenyon College. This is the fourth consecutive appearance in the NCAA tournament for the field hockey team.
