  • DETAILS: The School of Arts and Sciences at The Catholic University of America presents their 2021 Spring Speakers’ Series, “American Impasse: Politics, Citizenship, and Democracy in 2021.”
    After the assault on the U.S. Congress on Jan. 6, 2021 -- an unprecedented moment of violence and self-destruction in American civic life -- the department gathered leading voices from government, journalism, academia, and think tanks to discuss the causes and meaning of the Capitol riot.
    The series is in four parts touching on the social causes; political causes; Civil War, race, and memory; and citizenship and the future of American Democracy.
