In fall 2023, Catholic University football will compete in the Landmark Conference after five years of competition with the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference.

The Landmark Conference announced last week that two new institutions were joining the conference, Lycoming College and Wilkes University, in summer 2023.This brings the number of football-playing schools in the conference to six.

"Our program is excited to join the rest of our athletic teams in the Landmark Conference," said Mike Gutelius, Vincent and Ellen Sica Endowed Head Coach. "We already have a strong familiarity with the schools in the conference so it only makes sense to add the sport of football to the competitive environment that the league enjoys. I look forward to building healthy rivalries and I am excited to play more teams that so strongly match a big section of our recruiting footprint."

With addition of football, 23 of Catholic's 25 intercollegiate teams will compete in the Landmark Conference; the exceptions are men's and women's rowing, which compete in the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC).
