CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - A group of college women are here from the nation's capital, not to bask in the South Texas sun, but instead to make someone else's dreams come true.

They are working with wood that will, in a few months, be a house! The people behind all the hard work are 20 student volunteers from the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. The women actually pay their own way to spend their time off sweating under our South Texas sun, for the benefit of the Habitat for Humanity Foundation. With the help of volunteers, our local Habitat for Humanity chapter has placed 40 qualified families in homes they would not otherwise be able to afford.
