Donatello exhibition heading to Museum of Biblical Art in New York

According to Nora Heimann, chairman of the art department at Catholic University, the Donatello show presents MOBIA with a unique opportunity and challenge.

"The success of this exhibition could help to give that museum a new and significant gravitas in the public's eye," she said. "Its failure could have equally important ramifications, since the exhibition cost, by all accounts, an immense amount of money."

And as for D.C. museumgoers who may not want to make the trek to New York, Heimann notes that Washington is getting another show curated by Verdon - "Picturing Mary: Woman, Mother, Idea," opening Dec. 5 at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
