John Garvey, a native of Sharon and now the president of The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., wrapped up a week of inspiring speeches given to Kennedy Catholic High School students by leaders of five colleges.
"It's honestly an honor because all week we've met college presidents, and not many students get to do that," said senior Kathryn Summers during a question-and-answer session between Garvey and a group of juniors and seniors. "And to sit down with the college president really is an honor."
During the second annual College and University Presidents' Week, students in grades eight through 12 had the opportunity to be inspired by five leaders from institutions of higher learning.
