DETAILS: | Theological College, the national seminary of Catholic University, will present three workshops on music in the liturgy for musicians in parishes, religious houses and educational organizations. The hands-on sessions will feature examples of chant composed for English and strategies for implementing the new and revised Mass texts. The workshops will provide access to little-known but invaluable resources that all liturgical musicians should know about and practical tools for evaluating and crafting sacred music. Sessions will be led by Peter Latona, director of music at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.; Lawrence Harris, chant specialist and director of the Canadian Symposium on Music in Liturgy in Ottawa; and Gerald F. Muller, director of music at Theological College. The sessions are:
