The Catholic University of America is preparing for Christmas in many ways, including its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony, which will be held in the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center. Other events include several concerts by the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music and opportunities for prayer and reflection sponsored by the Office of Campus Ministry. The Christmas events are:

. Confessions will be heard in the residence halls from 8 to 10 p.m. from Tuesday, Nov. 30, through Thursday, Dec. 2, and on Monday, Dec. 6, Tuesday, Dec. 7, and Thursday, Dec 9.

This year's concert will benefit the Annual Vieban Fund of Theological College. The concert will feature the combined CUA Orchestra and University Chorus. A carillon recital will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. through Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 6 p.m., there will be 24-hour for expectant mothers, the unborn and the culture of life on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. Through Friday, Dec. 10, . The university community is invited to donate gifts for neighbors in the Brookland community and kids in the Children's National Medical Center. Presents can be dropped off at Campus Ministry. Students are invited to shop for CUA giving tree gifts on Sunday, Dec. 5.
