DETAILS: Mario Gamboa, founder and director of Centro de Alfabetización en Español (CENAES), will discuss literacy in Spanish as part of the Hispanic Civic and Global Engagement Talk Series. CENAES is a non-profit organization that serves the adult Hispanic population in the Washington, D.C., area through literacy in Spanish programs. The program will also feature the premiere of the documentary CENAES by CUA senior Arnulfo Moreno, a media studies major. A reception and refreshments will follow the event, which is free and open to the public. The Hispanic Civic and Global Engagement Talk Series strives to strengthen collaboration between CUA and the D.C.-area Hispanic community.
