DETAILS: | Friends and colleagues of Jane Pesci-Townsend will gather in Hartke Theatre for a musical tribute to her life. Friends and family will also share memories of Pesci-Townsend. Pesci-Townsend taught at CUA from 1994 until her death in 2010. She served as chair of musical theatre from 2004 until 2010. She was a four-time nominee for the Helen Hayes Award - the Washington area's biggest acting honor. Performers will include Broadway stars Norm Lewis and CUA alumnus Brad Nacht, currently starring in "Billy Elliot" on Broadway. Musical theatre instructor Tracey Olivera, former students and local actors Eleasha Gamble, Steve Cupo, Sherri Edelen, and others will join the Musical Theatre Department students at this tribute.
