President Garvey Appoints Father Morozowich Acting Theology Dean

Rev. Mark Morozowich

John Garvey, President of The Catholic University of America, has appointed Rev. Mark Morozowich as acting dean of the School of Theology and Religious Studies, effective July 1 and until the appointment of a permanent dean.

Father Morozowich joined the theology and religious studies faculty in 2003 as an assistant professor of liturgical studies and sacramental theology. He also serves as associate dean for seminary and ministerial programs, a position he has held since July 2006. Monsignor Kevin Irwin, who has served as dean of theology and religious studies since August 2005, is stepping down from the position effective June 30.

"Catholic University is pleased that Father Morozowich has accepted the position of acting dean," says Provost James Brennan. "Please join me in expressing our gratitude for his willingness to serve the University in this capacity."
