| DETAILS: | In a daylong conference, policy experts and survivors will discuss the issue of trafficking in human persons. 9:30 a.m. Welcome, opening remarks, and invocation 9:45 a.m. Panel discussion with four survivors of torture, moderated by Demissie Abebe, director of Torture Abolition and Survivors Support Coalition 11:15 a.m. Break 11:30 a.m. Keynote address by Ambassador Luis CdeBaca, United States ambassador-at-large and director of the U.S. Department of State's Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons* 12:30 p.m. Lunch 1:45 p.m. Panel discussion with policy experts and advocates: Ron Chance, adjunct professor of intelligence studies at Neumann University in Aston, Pa., and former human trafficking investigator for the U.S. Department of Labor; Sister Mary Ann Smith, M.M., of End Child Prostitution, Pornography and Trafficking; Sister Eileen White, G.N.S.H., resident coordinator of Dawn's Place, a shelter for survivors of human trafficking in Philadelphia; and Hilary Chester, associate director of the Anti-Trafficking Services Program at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' Migrant and Refugee Services 3:15 p.m. Address by Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, archbishop emeritus of Washington 3:45 p.m. Closing *The previously scheduled keynote speaker, Joy Ngozi Ezeilo, United Nations special rapporteur on trafficking in persons, cannot attend.
