The Catholic University of America offers two experts who can discuss the new English translation of the Roman Missal , the ritual text for the celebration of the Mass. The new translation is being introduced to U.S. parishes now and will replace the current text in November.

• LITURGY AND SACRAMENTAL METHOD - Monsignor Kevin W. Irwin , past dean of Catholic University's School of Theology and Religious Studies , professor of liturgical studies and sacramental theology, and the Monsignor Walter J. Schmitz, S.S. professor of liturgical studies. Currently, he also is adviser to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' Committee on Divine Worship. As adviser to the bishops' liturgy committee in the 1990s, Monsignor Irwin was closely involved in debates about liturgical translation. He is author of numerous books and scholarly articles about the Mass. Most recently, he helped produce an interactive, catechetical DVD on the Mass and the new translation of the Roman Missal titled "Becoming One Body, One Spirit in Christ." Monsignor Irwin speaks to groups around the nation and world on issues regarding liturgy and the new translation of the Roman Missal.

• HISTORY OF LITURGY - Rev. Michael G. Witczak , associate professor of liturgical studies and sacramental theology. Father Witczak specializes in the history and theology of Eucharistic celebration, sacramental liturgy, history of liturgy, and liturgical celebration of the saints. Previously, he served as consultant to the U.S. bishops' Committee on the Liturgy. Father Witczak holds a doctorate in sacred liturgy from the Pontifical Liturgical Institute in Rome, and he is a member of several liturgical societies, including the Society for Catholic Liturgy. He was awarded the Archbishop's Vatican II Award for Service in Liturgy in 2001 by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and the Sal Terrae Award for Service to the Church in 2007 by the Salesianum Alumni Association.
