DETAILS: What role does religion play in presidential elections? A panel of experts will explore this question from a historical perspective and by examining religion's part in this year's election.

The panel discussion will be chaired by Barbara Bradley Hagerty , religion correspondent for National Public Radio. Panelists include Robert P. Jones , president of the Public Religion Research Institute; Melissa Deckman , Louis L. Goldstein Associate Professor of Public Affairs at Washington College; Mark Rozell , professor of public policy at George Mason University and fellow at Catholic University's Institute for Policy Research & Catholic Studies (IPR); and Stephen Schneck , director of IPR.
