DETAILS The Benjamin T. Rome School of Music presents, Peter Frankl, an internationally renowned pianist.

Peter Frankl is referred to of one of the most distinguished and successful classical pianists of modern time. His concert career spans 60 years and has taken him to the most prestigious concert halls and festivals on six continents.

He has appeared to critical acclaim as a soloist with some of the best orchestras and celebrated conductors in the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, and has appeared with esteemed conductors Solti, Szell, Maasel and Abbado, among others. Frankl's discography includes numerous works of Mozart, Schumann, Bartok, Debussy and other composers.

He is a piano professor at Yale University School of Music as well an Honorary Professor of the Liszt Academy in Hungary.

Frankl's recital will feature Brahms's Two Rhapsodies , Op. 79, Beethoven's Sonata in E flat , Op. 27, No. 1, and the Moonlight Sonata , Sonata in C sharp minor, Op. 27, No. 2, selections of Barktok including Allegro Barbaro, Three Burlesques , Suite, Op. 14, and 15 Hungarian Peasant Songs.

Frankl will also be giving a piano master class on Friday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to noon in Ward Recital Hall.
