Catholic University to Host Blood Drive for Hurricane Victims

DETAILS The Catholic University of America will host a blood drive Friday, Nov. 9, on behalf of Hurricane Sandy victims, who include the families of many Catholic University students in the Northeast United States, in particular New Jersey and New York. Many are still without power and/or basic services. To make a blood donation appointment, visit http://www.redcrossblood.org/make-donation . Participants must enter sponsor code 05312216 to register.  For more information about the blood drive or to arrange for special accommodations, contact cua-campus-ministry@cua.edu . The Office of Campus Ministry also urges members of the CUA community to donate money to Catholic Charities and to offer prayers for all those affected by the storm. Campus Ministry also encourages all students, faculty, and staff to visit the CUA Cares website (http://cuacares.cua.edu) for more information about Catholic University's relief efforts. CUA Cares is a movement that has mobilized in the past after tragedies in Japan, Haiti, the Gulf Coast states, and the South Pacific.
