Eileen Morris Guenther, third-term president of the 18,000-member American Guild of Organists, will speak at the Colloquium in Sacred Music on Friday, April 12, in St. Vincent Chapel on the campus of Catholic University. The talk begins at 4:15 p.m.

Guenther, who holds both an M.A. in musicology and D.M.A. in organ performance from CUA, will discuss her 2012 book Rival or a Team: Clergy-Musician Relationships in the 21st Century , published by MorningStar Publications.

She serves as associate professor of church music at Wesley Theological Seminary's Henry Luce III Center for the Arts and Religion, as professorial lecturer in organ at The George Washington University, and director of music at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Washington, D.C.

The lecture and discussion are free and open to the public.

St. Vincent Chapel is located on the east side of campus, accessible to the Metro Red Line Brookland/CUA Station.
