DETAILS | In response to the devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan; which struck the Philippines on Friday, Nov. 8, FOCUS (Filipino Organization of Catholic University Students) is helping to organize a Mass to be offered Wednesday night. After Mass, students will pray the rosary in the Tagalog language for the estimated 11 million people (according to the U.N.) in need of assistance. The Catholic University of America has also updated cuacares.cua.edu, a website dedicated to disaster response. The website offers information on prayers for the devastated area and opportunities to participate in assistance efforts, including details on fundraisers, and links to charitable organizations such as Catholic Relief Services. |
