Alumni who have not visited CUA's Brookland campus in a few years may be in for a surprise.  Here is a look at the transformation of South Campus. St. Bonaventure Hall along with residence halls Conaty, Spalding, and Spellman were razed to make way for the Monroe Street Market mixed-use development. University Photographer Ed Pfueller documented the change over the past five years from three different views of the development. These images may help you get your bearings next time you visit campus and wonder if the new restaurant you are eating in is in the same spot you moved into as a freshman all those years ago.

Whether you arrive to campus on a Metro train or in a car down Michigan Ave., you can't miss the giant BROOKLAND welcome on Monroe Street Market's Brookland Works building. Adjacent to the Brookland-CUA Metro Station the buildings are home to the Arts Walk artist studios, live music, and a weekly farmer's market. The buildings were the first to be completed in the development. The photo sequence covers construction starting in 2012 to the current finished buildings.
