March 23, 2016

Approximately 150 students gathered March 21 in front of the Office of Campus Ministry on a cold and windy night for an annual Catholic University tradition - the Way of the Cross.

Each year in remembrance of the Lenten season and in preparation for Holy Week - the final week before Easter - students carry a life-size cross throughout campus in a candlelit procession that commemorates the Stations of the Cross, 14 moments in the passion of Jesus.

The procession ended on the stairs of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
