More than 800 members of the Catholic University community participated in this year’s MLK Day of Service, an annual event in which students honor the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., by doing acts of service for community partners.
As part of this year’s event, which was hosted by the Office of Campus Ministry, Catholic University volunteers served at several organizations around the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, including the Little Sisters of the Poor Jeanne Jugan Residence, Ronald McDonald House, Washington Parks & People, Little Friends for Peace, Bethlehem House, Groundwork Anacostia, and the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America.
