The Catholic University of America has been named a military friendly school, earning the designation as a gold-level award winner. The Military Friendly Company conducts an annual survey that investigates and identifies organizations whose commitment to serving the military and veteran community is comprehensive in scope and meaningful in terms of actual outcomes and impact. Catholic University is the only Washington, D.C., school mentioned in the guide. More than 600 schools are ranked, but CatholicU is one of only 42 ranked “Gold.”
“It’s our sustained superior performance and an extra level of commitment toward veterans programs” that Ed Schaefer, veterans affairs coordinator, attributes to this most recent recognition.
The Catholic University of America has been listed as a military friendly for many years. U.S. News and World Report ranked The Catholic University of America as #99 in Best Colleges for Veterans in 2020. That listing was a result of the University’s strong participation in the Yellow Ribbon program and the policies the University has in place to serve veterans and active-duty service members.
Application fees are waived for veterans. For more information on veterans’ education benefits at Catholic University, visit the University’s admission website or contact Schaefer at schaefer@cua.edu.
