“I am excited to join the Catholic University Enrollment Management team,” Tyus says. “I look forward to serving students and collaborating with colleagues across campus to meet enrollment goals and ensure that students are successful.”

She comes to the University after more than 11 years at The Institute of World Politics, including roles as vice president, assistant dean of students, registrar, and institutional research officer. Previously, she has also worked at George Washington, Howard, and Southeastern universities.

“Hasanna emerged as our top candidate and I am thrilled that she will be coming to Catholic University,” says Christopher Lydon, vice president for Enrollment Management and Marketing.

Her previous experience includes co-chairing an accreditation self-study, chairing an institutional research and assessment committee, and participating in strategic planning and retention activities.

Other topics that she is interested in and has presented on include diversity and inclusion, financial aid, FERPA, Title IX, and institutional decision making.

“With the depth and breadth of her experience, I have no doubt Hasanna will be a wonderful colleague and contributor across the University," says University President John Garvey.

Originally from Easton, Pa., Tyus has called Washington, D.C., her home for nearly 20 years. She enjoys spending time with her family, which includes five children aged 8 to 22; instructing group fitness classes; traveling the world; and learning new things.
