Over 20 religious sisters, brothers, and priests of the National Religious Vocations Conference (NRVC)  gathered with the Catholic University community for "Walk. Pray. Eat." Sept. 25.

Despite evening rain, students, faculty, staff, and their families gathered at the Our Lady of Wisdom statue to begin a rosary procession across campus for the "Walk" element of the event. Students led the rosary decades, following behind a processional crucifix.

The cross-campus rosary pilgrimage ended outside St. Vincent de Paul Chapel, just in time for participants to attend Mass, celebrated by University Chaplain, Fr. Aquinas Guilbeau, O.P.

Following the "Pray" portion of the evening, attendees moved outside to enjoy pizza, provided by the Knights of Columbus, the event's co-sponsors.

The weather did not dampen the joyful atmosphere where students connected with religious sisters and brothers while dining on homemade desserts. Some of the congregations in attendance included the Daughters of Charity, Sisters of Mercy, the Sisters of Charity, Conventual Franciscans, Capuchins, Benedictines, Religious of Mary Immaculate, the Society of Mary, and more.

In this year of Eucharistic Revival, "Walk.Pray.Eat." purposefully embraced the theme of communion by inviting participants to meditate on the life of Jesus through the rosary, leading them into the experience of Mass and receiving the Eucharist, and closing with fellowship over a meal.
