Howard University students joined The Catholic University of America’s Office of Campus Ministry and the Black Student Alliance (BSA) for a Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Chapel celebrating St. Martin de Porres’ feast day on Nov. 3.

Father Aquinas Guilbeau, O.P., Vice President of Ministry and Mission, concelebrated with Howard University Chaplain, Father Robert Boxie, who served as homilist.

November is Black Catholic History Month and St. Martin de Porres is the first Black saint from the Americas. 

Following the Mass, students and representatives from each campus gathered for fellowship and a soul food dinner in Heritage Hall.
