Today, the new and improved engage.catholic.edu debuts.

The redesigned site makes important information easier to find and does a better job of telling stories about the impact of philanthropy and success of our alumni. Its features include both a simplified, more powerful menu and search function and a design that looks great on any screen, including tablets and mobile devices.

“This project is all about providing a better online experience for our supporters and alumni,” said Scott Rembold, vice president for University Advancement. “We are looking forward to sharing great stories about our philanthropic success and to highlighting the powerful network of alumni that we have around the country and the world. We hope that alumni can see themselves on this site and that it will inspire them to stay connected to the University.”

In planning and developing the new engage.catholic.edu, members of the redesign team sought feedback from staff, faculty members, students, alumni, and others. They also analyzed data about how visitors use the website and conducted user testing to fine-tune site features and functions.

In addition to having information on events, news, and programming at their fingertips, graduates can register to access the Online Directory where they can update their alumni profiles for express event registration, find classmates and friends, search career information, and manage email subscriptions. Alumni will continue to have access to Cardinal Career where they can review or post jobs for fellow Cardinals and current students, review the business directory, and discover a wealth of professional resources and services.

With the new fundraising progress tracker, alumni can keep track of the current advancement efforts as Catholic University continues to move forward after a historic year of fundraising. The website also highlights activity and milestones, including donor recognition, key milestone achievement, special events, and current impact stories.

The new site also gives greater emphasis to social media, an integral way for alumni to stay connected to the University and each other. The site's new Tagboard section features alumni voices to generate more conversation about and among our extended community.
