It was a busy morning on Thursday, Aug. 24, as more than 800 first-year and transfer students moved into the residence halls at The Catholic University of America for the first time. Arriving from 38 states and 13 different countries and territories, these new students were greeted by more than 80 student volunteers, who helped carry hundreds of boxes and suitcases.
Move-in Day was the kick-off of Orientation 2017, a four-day program meant to help the incoming students make the adjustment to life at Catholic University. Over the course of the program, the students and their families have opportunities to meet academic advisors, get to know their classmates, and become more familiar with Catholic University and Washington, D.C.
