The Catholic University of America extends its prayers and support for the victims of yesterday’s mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nev.
“As a community of faith, our University offers its prayers for the victims and their families, the first responders, and the healthcare workers who are caring for the injured,” said University President John Garvey. “This marks the deadliest mass shooting in American history. I ask that we meet this moment by cultivating peace with our words and deeds in our own community.”
The University’s Counseling Center and the Office of Campus Ministry are available for students in need of support. Faculty and staff can contact the Office of Human Resources for support through the University’s employee assistance program.
