Numerous alumni and friends of The Catholic University of America are featured in a video welcoming students from the Class of 2022 to campus. The video features notable alumni:

  • Rashaun Martin, B.A. ‘01, president of the alumni association
  • Tim Shriver, M.A. ‘88, chairman of the Special Olympics
  • Terry McAuliffe, B.A. ‘79, former governor of Virginia
  • Angela Santomero, B.A. ‘90, creator of Blue’s Clues and Daniel Tiger
  • His eminence Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Ph.D. ‘85, archbishop of New York
  • Brian Cashman, B.A. ‘89, general manager of the New York Yankees
  • Rosanna Scotto, B.F.A. ‘80, co-host of Good Day New York

Also featured was actor and humanitarian Gary Sinise, whose daughter, Ella, graduated in the Class of 2014.

The video, which was shown during Orientation 2018, includes advice on how students can make the most of their college experience. Among those offering advice is Shriver, who suggests students beginning college should “serve, engage, make a difference in the community around you and it will make a difference for you.”
