Experiences in Architecture

At the Experiences in Architecture Summer Program, the city becomes your classroom. During this three-week workshop for students interested in the architecture field, students are exposed to both the academic and professional sides of the architecture arena in Washington, D.C. Latin Camp

Calling all would-be latin speakers! This summer, high school and even college students interested in learning, improving or perfecting their latin can experience a fully immersive week long program at Catholic University. Latin camp is perfect for anyone who wants to get to know the Latin Bible, St. Augustine, and Washington, D.C. all in one week. Students will spend little time in the classroom, and instead will explore D.C. in the same way they would in any immersive modern language program. Summer Business Institute

Ready to enter the Catholic University “shark tank”? The Busch School Summer Business Institute gives rising junior and senior high school students the opportunity to dive hands-on into business principles, competitions, and applications, while experiencing a taste of college life in Washington, D.C. The program will feature presentations and workshops by leaders in the field. The weeklong program culminates with students creating their own business idea to present to “shark tank” judges. The Light the World Institute is a Catholic college experience where high school students are challenged intellectually and spiritually. The institute includes talks from engaging speakers on the many ways the Catholic theological tradition relates to science, art, business, politics, sports, and other fields. Applied Math in Action!

There is no better place to get inspired to study the STEM fields than Washington, D.C. With Catholic U.’s position in our nation’s capital, this dynamic applied math program gives students the chances to visit the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, the national monuments, and the Spy Museum, all while working with Catholic U.'s math faculty and students on projects, such as ancient codes, modern cryptography, and cyber-security. High School Drama Institute

At the Rome School of Music, Drama, and the Arts, there is no shortage of excitement for the High School Drama Institute! During this three week residential program, students will be able to study voice, acting, dance, movement, and more with experts in the field and like-minded theatre students. Every summer, the Institute attracts the most enthusiastic, talented, and hard-working high school students who leave campus not only with increased skills and confidence, but also with lifelong friends. Engineering New Frontiers

Juniors and seniors interested in the engineering fields will have the chance to experience living and studying at Catholic University with everything from a challenging week-long robotics project, tours of federal laboratories and a large scale construction site, as well as workshops with Catholic University faculty. In the evenings, students tour the monuments at night, attend a Washington Nationals Baseball game, and a play at the Kennedy Center. Working closely with Catholic U. engineering faculty and staff, students will experience what engineering majors and professional engineers really do.
