How does architecture connect us to the divine? What can angels teach us about free will? Why should we ‘listen’ to earthquake waves? How can viruses work to heal? Can perfectionism be a problem?

These are just a few of the many questions explored by the Catholic University researchers featured in the 2018-2019 annual report, titled “Big Questions.”

“Here at Catholic University, our faculty and students are immersed in a culture of research,” says President John Garvey. The questions featured in the annual report, he says, “reflect the depth and breadth of the research we are interested in, and they show that creative research is not limited to STEM areas, though it is certainly found there.”

The annual report also includes University highlights from the 2018-2019 fiscal year, along with financial statements.
