Three or four times each semester, small groups of students head off campus to give a new activity a try through a program named Cardinal Adventures. Run out of the Eugene I. Kane Fitness Center, Cardinal Adventures gives students the opportunity to meet others while kayaking, horseback riding, paddle boarding, skiing, rock climbing, hiking, whitewater rafting, or learning how to fly through the air at a trapeze school.
No experience is required for the trips and transportation is provided to the activity locations, which can range from the Potomac River within Washington, D.C., to Pennsylvania for whitewater rafting and skiing.
