Communications

Director of Communications
The Director of Communications is the first point of contact for all media relations and works with the AVP of University Communications to successfully execute an aggressive, proactive media strategy designed to elevate the profile of the university.

Editor of University Publications
The Editor of University Publications is an integral member of the editorial team and is responsible for setting the editorial direction of the digital and print editions of University publications, primarily CatholicU magazine and the annual report. The Executive Editor is responsible for the planning, writing, and editing of the publications.

Director of Content Strategy
The Director of Content Strategy is responsible for the planning, creation, publication, dissemination, and management of content that drives traffic, engagement, and support for the University. The content strategist works in coordination with team members and stakeholders across campus to leverage content that is relevant to key audiences and aligned with the University’s brand and strategic objectives.

Marketing

Director of Digital Experience
The Director of Digital Experience manages the university's external-facing websites and supervises the digital team within the marketing department. This position provides strategic direction on web content, user experience, web technology, operations, web optimization, accessibility compliance, and web governance. The person in this position oversees content development, implementation, maintenance, and standards for the university's websites, as well as the training and support of content contributors across the university. This position collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure an engaging and effective digital presence across all platforms in support of the university’s mission and goals.

Video Production Specialist
This position is responsible for the full production life-cycle of video, audio and animation projects at The Catholic University of America, including scripting, filming, editing, color-grading, sound mixing, post-production, publishing and archiving. The breadth of projects include overseeing the production of highly visible, highly engaging content for undergraduate student recruitment, documenting marquee campus events, developing a video series profiling exceptional students and faculty, and producing video assets for social media and advertising campaigns. 

Graphic Designer
Under the direction of the director of creative services, the graphic designer will work to conceptualize and deliver a wide range of print and digital assets including, but not limited to: brochures, infographics, logos, programs, booklets, posters, invitations, promotional materials, signage, as well as various multimedia graphics for web, social media, and email marketing.
